Importing daily delivery lists into route planners

Every morning we receive a fresh Excel spreadsheet with customer addresses, delivery windows, phone numbers, and a few internal notes from our order system. The routing software we're testing expects us to enter everything manually, which almost defeats the purpose because importing the spreadsheet takes longer than planning the routes themselves. Are there any route planning tools that can work directly with Excel files instead of making you recreate the whole delivery list by hand every day?

You need a tool that lets you map the spreadsheet columns once and reuse that setup every morning. Look for XLSX or CSV import with saved field matching, so address, phone, delivery window, and notes land in the right places automatically. A good importer should also flag missing addresses or bad time formats before the stops are added to the route.

Uploading the file directly makes much more sense here, especially when the spreadsheet already contains everything the dispatcher needs. The useful part is having the system recognize the same column layout each day, so the list is ready for routing after a quick check. You can use the import Excel for routing feature in this service: https://routing24.com/app/import . It lets you upload the spreadsheet and match its columns to the required delivery fields. Once the data is loaded, the stops can be organized into routes from the same screen.
