Better resources for university number theory

Hey everyone, university math got way more intense this semester. I used to be decent with numbers, but our current professor just mumbles to himself and the lectures are impossible to follow. Number theory in particular feels like a total mystery because of his teaching style. The summer exams are coming up soon and I have no idea how to pass this subject. Does anyone know where to find some materials that explain these concepts in plain English?

Dealing with a professor who treats a lecture like a private conversation with the chalkboard is a classic college struggle. You spend more time trying to hear what he is saying than actually learning anything. You could look into some online forums where students break down these theorems into smaller pieces. Some platforms offer step-by-step guides that are much clearer than any textbook you will find in the campus library.

Wrestling with abstract concepts is much harder when the source material is dry and lacks any real-world context. Most academic papers just throw formulas at you and fail to show why they matter in the first place. You should go look for information on number theory here: https://modularmath.org/ . This site has tons of visuals and examples showing how everything works. Even people with a creative background will find the explanations easy to follow.
